My niece Jen Hawkyard was asked to illustrate some books for a new eBook company called Lost Bard Books. The book was written by Gayle Nastasi and information can be found on her website Gazehound Communications. The novel is entitled “The Corpse That Wasn’t There” and is the first installment of The Junior Handler’s Mystery Series – more information about the novel can be read here.
For now, enjoy the lovely artwork that Jen produced for this novel, and check out all her other illustration work on Jen’s website.

Lin, I don’t have to tell you how excited (think “bouncing off the ceiling” excited) I am that Jen was available to do the book cover for “Corpse”! She did a fantastic job, what a marvelous young talent!
And I learned yesterday that not only will The Corpse That Wasn’t There be released in e-book form, shoppers at Lost Bard Books will be able to purchase it in paperback!
Everyone … watch the Lost Bard website for the book to go live … which will be very soon. Maybe Jen will sign your copy for you!
Exciting news. Am going to post this page onto the Canadian ShowDogs List. Maybe it will generate some traffic. Let me know when the book goes live.
Thank you so much! And “will do”! If you know any Junior Handlers, they might enjoy knowing there’s finally a mystery series being written just for them, too!
(I guess you can’t tell I’m excited .)
…and don’t forget to buy me a copy when it comes out too!!!
No problem kiddo – we’ll get you a signed copy of the book, won’t we Gayle? and then Jen can sign it as well. If it is out on time I can bring it to Kentucky.
