Ryder finished his Canadian Championship quickly, and garnered a Group 4th the first show after he was made a champion. On his way to his championship he went Best in Sweepstakes at the Saluki Club of Canada Specialty Show under Dawn Carlson in August of 2008.
He was Reserve Best in Futurity at the Saluki Club of America National Specialty in 2008 under breeder judge Cathy Chapman and Best Opposite in Sweeps at the Huron Valley Saluki Club Specialty in August 2008 under breeder judge Vicky Clark. After a layoff until 2009 Ryder went to the Huron Valley Saluki Club Specialty in August 2009 and was Best of Breed from the classes for a 5 point major under judge Diane Divin. What an exciting win over some excellent top winning Specials. On the same weekend he garnered another 4 point major going WD under Nancy Leising. Following on from that win he went to the Finger Lakes show circuit in upper New York State where he went Best of Breed from the Bred by Class under Canadian judge Janet Lobb.
2010 was an excellent year for him. In February we attended the Empire Saluki Club Shows where Ryder was BISS again from the Bred By Class under Australian judge Erin Brown to finish. His next US show was the SCOA National Specialty in Lexington, Kentucky – under breeder judge Jean Louis Gruenheid and first time out as a Special Ryder was awarded third Award of Merit from an entry of over 400 Salukis. To finish out his excellent year, Ryder was bred to Am Can Canapus Anastasia AOM. His courtship with Annie was his first stud experience and produced a lovely litter of six puppies.

alote of saluki love from us
Hello Lin,
You know how much we love to see Ryder in all his glory in photos and videos and his sister is very beautiful as well. Brian came into my study to watch your latest video with me and we thought it was really stunning to see the twins running free. They both have that special ‘something’ which, in the Salukis we have owned, we have only ever seen in Rocco and I don’t think that it is a coincidence that they share some of the same Salukis in their pedigree. Watching the video was like seeing Rocco’s double enjoying himself running free in the open countryside – Salukis love nothing more than that! Thank you also for posting all the super photos of your Salukis past and present – a delight to the eye. Annette Buckley – Adopted Mum to Ch Mumtaz Sirocco ShCM.
