At the same shows, same day, same judge, his sister Arya went Winner’s Bitch for her second major (4pt), bringing her over the halfway point toward her American title. I am very proud of these two.

EXCITING NEWS
I am excited to announce the upcoming breeding of Ryder (BISS Ch Lorrequer Kharyder) to Mary White’s (Freespirit) beautiful black beauty Annie (Am Can Ch Canapus Anastasia). I have long admired this lovely Saluki and was delighted when Mary called asking to breed her for her final litter to Ryder. If all goes according to plan (and we all know that Salukis have their own plans so time will tell) we should have puppy announcements sometime in May, fingers crossed. Pedigree will be posted soon, check back often for updates. Enquiries for this litter can be addressed to Mary White at freespirits73@roadrunner.com or to myself at lin@lorrequer.com
This just in from the shows in Palm Springs, CA. At the Inland Empire Hound Association of SC shows on Friday Jan 8 Mirage’s (Ch Lorrequer Illusion at SadikJC ) daughter Brisa (Sadik Briza Wind JC) was Winners Bitch/BOW for the major under Ms Jo Anne M Buehler, MD. Continuing her winning ways, on Saturday Jan 9 at the KC of Palm Springs shows under Barbara Alderman she was again WB for the major, bringing her ever closer to her title while her brother Seca (Ch Sadik Seca Wind JC) received an Award of Merit on Saturday. Briza is pictured below – she was bred by Cathy Chapman and was sired by MSBIS Ch. Sadik Solar Flare CD, RN, JC. You can visit Cathy’s home page at Sadik Salukis.
Also at the same show on Saturday Jan 9 another Lorrequer grand-kid took the dog major – Alyahzee Dhabyane Al-Rasheed JC .owned by Stephen & Dorothea Franke & Khalifa Almarar and shown by Karon Lonero - sired by Ch Lorrequer Istabraq JC CD.
In April of 2008 Mirage whelped a litter for Lesley Brabyn sired by Ch Jazirat Khatif. Lesley kept a black and tan bitch from that litter – Ch Timaru Tamarisk. Tammi was very successful at the Lompoc CA shows in July 2009 – at the SCOA Regional Specialty she was Best of Breed from the 12-18 month class under breeder judge Tracey Larkin-Cox from South Africa. In October of 2009 Tammi was Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex from the Open Class at the Saluki Club of Greater San Francisco under breeder judge Jan Buchanan and at the Oakland KC shows on December 30 2009 she was BOB and Group 4th under breeder judge Linda Scanlon. Tammi is pictured below. You can visit Lesley & John Brabyn’s website here for more pictures and pedigrees.
Arya (Ch Lorrequer Kalarya) goes Group 2nd at Georgina Kennel Club, Sutton, Ontario under breeder judge Jan Buchanan. She showed her little heart out and I was very pleased with her.
Arya finishes her title at Trillium Kennel Club shows – three shows in two days (one an All Hound Specialty) she finishes with three sets of points. Arya is a Hermione daughter (Can Ch Lorrequer Incantation) out of Herbi (Am Ch Gemini Phaeton Herb Diener).

Congratulations to the lovely Arya. The Twins have certainly done an amazing job at being wonderful Salukis! Not that I’m partial to them or anything…
Big Congrats to miss Arya! You both deserve it and she is just stunning.
Hermione has certainly done herself proud in her two Champion children. But why not from such a beautiful Lady. Congratulations to you!
